Happy New Year 2026. As we turn the page and focus on what comes next, the Foundation wants to highlight our first program that was designed to help and support residents.
The Home Maintenance Program in Sun City Roseville has been in operation for about 25 years. It was created specifically for residents who wanted to help their neighbors with routine maintenance services. There are no paid staff. Sun City Roseville staff are not involved in the Program. Everyone, at every step, is a resident who has chosen to volunteer and share some of their time and skills with neighbors. Volunteer Board Members for the Foundation participate in coordinating and managing this program.
Currently, there are 12 Teams, with a total of only 22 volunteers. These dedicated volunteers have handled over 1000 Requests in 2025. Request Forms can be filled out online; they are then printed and forwarded to Maintenance. If Requests cannot be filled out online, Forms are in the Foundation’s literature rack in the Lobby and can be left in the blue folder in the rack. The average turn-around time is usually about 3-5 days from the time the Request is made to getting a return call for scheduling. Holiday weeks or high-volume time, scheduling will take longer. If you feel it is an emergency, call the RFD.
Lights, smoke alarms and batteries are purchased by the Maintenance Program. Costs continue to increase. Residents are not charged for services or supplies. When you receive a Donation Request after the Maintenance Team has been at your home, it is to help subsidize and keep the Program going. No funding is received from the HOA. This program exists because of the generosity of residents.
Resident renters cannot submit Requests for Maintenance. If there is a home issue, only the legal Homeowner can submit the Request. It is also requested that the Program not be used for any maintenance work during a Sale or an Escrow of a home.
The Lobby Desk and Administration Office are not involved in Program specifics. If residents have questions, please call the Foundation phone line (916) 774-9040 or go to SCRFoundation.org
We thank all committed volunteers and teams. With so many requests, volunteer team members are always needed. We invite anyone interested to contact the Foundation.
BINGO is back! Our first Bingo Fundraiser of 2026 is Sunday January 18. Tickets go on sale at Foundation Courier Table on January 2.
